THE HOST: The 'host' (me!) is a software developer/computer
executive and a partner in a small engineering firm
in central Jersey. While I have a strong background
in the sciences, I have an equally strong background
and interest in the arts (especially music and film).
In fact, I'm planning on giving up computers in
a few years, finishing my home studio, and attempting
               to write music for film.
My education includes study at Cornell, Harvard,
and the University of Pennsylvania (where I graduated).
I have also spent some academic time in France,
where I took a seminar in the sociology of film
               at the Cannes Film Festival.
My 'goal' in the HOSPEX program is one of cultural
exchange. I am very interested in developing
               cross-cultural friendships, and learning about
the sociology, politics, and especially the arts
of other cultures. I am also a 'ethnic food
enthusiast' (and a pretty good cook to boot),
and would enjoy learning 'first-hand' about other
               cuisines, and culinary customs.
I would also be interested in exchanging e-mail with
individuals with similiar interests, so if you can't
visit, don't let that stop you from writing!
